It is easy. Take an S-bahn from the Dusseldorf Hbf. if you take an S28 (destination Mettman), alight at Neanderthal station and walk 700m. I am not sure if there is a bus. If you take an S8 (destination Hagen), alight at Hochdahl. There is a bus, but I walk through the forest, it is all down hill, one km. S28 is every 20 mins, S8 is more frequent. Journey time is about mins.
