A 60-year-old American man was found "beaten to death" at Ballyfin Demesne, a luxurious five-star hotel in Ireland. Police said a suspect is in custody.

The Irish national police and security service, the Garda Siochana, told USA TODAY the deceased American citizen was a man in his 60’s. He was discovered unconscious on a bathroom floor inside the Ballyfin Demesne Hotel in County Laois on Tuesday evening and was later pronounced dead.
