A weather warning for thunderstorms and heavy showers is in full force across much of southern England and Wales. The Met Office says damage to buildings as a result of lightning strikes, disruption to public transport and flooding should be expected within the affected areas.

Severe yellow weather warnings for thunderstorms are in place with another warning for rain in place for Sunday

The yellow thunderstorm warning runs from 1am today (September 21) until 11.59pm. Met Office experts have said: "Whilst some places will remain dry, thunderstorms and heavy showers could cause some disruption on Saturday in a few places."
