California's Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom, an LGBTQ ally, broke with his party, saying that transgender athletes playing in female sports is "deeply unfair."

HBO's Bill Maher celebrated Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom's "switch" on the issue of trans athletes competing in women's sports, something he called "deeply unfair."

Well, I think it’s an issue of fairness. I completely agree with you on that … it’s deeply unfair," the California governor said in conversation with right-wing activist Charlie Kirk.
