In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Tallahassee branch of the NAACP on Monday held a march to the Florida Capitol.

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Greene County Chapter of the NAACP had a commemorative service at Best Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. The theme “We Were There” emphasized the connection members of the congregation had with their ancestors and the beliefs they hope to continue

The federal holiday is “a day for us to remember that we are all one people,” keynote speaker Michele Norris, a Minnesota native, said.
