Teoscar Hernandez, two years older than Santander, just signed a three-year deal with the Dodgers that is worth about $20 million annually in present-day value (factoring in deferrals). That makes it a pretty good bet that Santander will seek five years and about $100 million.

Gleyber Torres' signing was already a bit of a welcome surprise. Even if it's just a one-year deal and Torres has given no indication he'll ever return to his old Yankees glory, he'll still provide a veteran righty bat with some pop that the Tigers need.
