Residents in pockets across Southern California are preparing for rainstorms expected to slam the region over the next few days — and bring the potential for mudslides and debris flow in areas recently ravaged by wildfires.

Pacific Palisades and Altadena are still reeling from last month’s devastating and deadly wildfires, but now there is a new concern for area residents: flooding.  KTLA 5's Omar Lewis and Carlos Herrera report.

Parts of Pacific Coast Highway remained closed due to heavy flooding and mudslides in Southern California, according to state officials.
