The Blackhawks aren’t feeling celebratory about tying their season-long point streak.

If Reichel can emerge as a useful player for Chicago, it would be a huge development for a team that has all but written him off already.

The Flames and Blackhawks last met in a wild one in Calgary, where the homeside prevailed 6-4 on Dec. 21. Huberdeau, Coronato, Nazem Kadri, Connor Zary and Blake Coleman scored for the Flames, while Connor Bedard had tallied for the Blackhawks as Calgary led 5-1 after 40 minutes.

Bedard's point streak came to an end as the Blackhawks surrendered a two-goal lead and fell to the Oilers, 4-3.

Despite one of the worst periods of hockey played by the Blackhawks, they managed to lose by 2 goals against a hot Red Wings team.

Just after the Blackhawks killed off a penalty, they tied the contest at 10:56 of the first period. Bedard set up Donato, who ripped a shot from the right circle that beat Talbot on the short side. Ilya Mikheyev had the second assist.
