Edisto River in Orangeburg forecast to drop below flood stage this weekend
COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) — The N. Fork Edisto River reached a record crest of 15.34' on Thursday night. The river has started to recede today, but remains in major flood stage as of Friday afternoon. The river is forecast to drop to minor flood stage by Saturday morning, then below flood stage by the end of the weekend.

Dorchester County activated its emergency operations center Monday amid flooding along the Edisto River. While flooding has not been significant at this point in Dorchester County, rescue crews are stationed along the river and a command center is prepped for use at the Givhans Fire Department.
