Markets fluctuated immensely due to the presentation of the Union Budget, showing massive gains initially which slowed down as the Budget was revealed

Major gainers on the Sensex included Sun Pharma, UltraTech Cement, IndusInd Bank, Zomato and Adani Ports. On the other hand, the top losers were Titan, Bajaj Finserv, Kotak Bank, Nestle & Asian Paint

Bharti Airtel, Power Grid, Bajaj Finance, Nestle India and M&M were the top gainers on the BSE Sensex, while ITC Hotels, Bajaj Finserv, Adani Ports and Zomato were among the top losers

During Sitharaman's speech, the Indian benchmarks erased morning gains and fell to the day's low. The Nifty 50 declined 0.81% to 23,318.30, and the Sensex fell 0.64% to 77,006.47.

The Indian stock market is open today as the BSE, NSE and MCX have announced a special trading session on Budget day.

BSE Sensex and Nifty50, the Indian equity benchmark indices, opened in green on Tuesday. While BSE Sensex was up over 400 points, Nifty50 was above 22,900.

The Indian stock market closed Wednesday's trading session on a positive note with benchmark indices rallying ahead of the monthly expiry and the upcoming Union Budget session. The stock market had seen a positive movement on Tuesday also.
