The company announced on Tuesday that you will have the option to use Venmo to pay for your flights when booking through the airline’s main website. The feature hasn’t hit the app yet, but will in the coming months, CBS News reported.

A major U.S. airline just made it much easier to pay for tickets.

JetBlue announced Tuesday that it will start accepting Venmo as a payment option on its website, becoming the first airline to do so.

On January 21, JetBlue announced it is the first airline to accept Venmo, giving customers a secure and easy payment option when booking flights directly with JetBlue online. The new payment option is already available for purchases online at jetblue.com and will be rolled out on the airline's mobile app in the coming months.

"The added ability to pay with Venmo for flights on JetBlue and manage travel costs during the trip through Groups helps solve the pain points of shared expenses from the time of booking to returning home," PayPal's John Anderson, senior vice president and general manager of consumer, said in a statement.

JetBlue flyers now have a — hopefully — new, easier and more efficient way of hitting the skies. In fact, it’s the first airline to move forward with offering customers this option. According to a company press release, JetBlue customers are now able to use Venmo when booking flights.
