David Lynch’s children Jennifer, Austin, Riley, and Lula shared a joint tribute to the filmmaker via X on Saturday, Jan. 18. The four-time Oscar nominee died on Jan. 16 at age 78.

Isabella Rossellini, who had her breakout role in David Lynch’s “Blue Velvet” and went on to date the man for five years, paid tribute to the late director following his death. “I loved him so much. Thanks for all your kind messages,” Rossellini wrote on Instagram on Friday morning, posting a photo of her with Lynch.

Following the death of David Lynch, his four children - Jennifer, Austin, Riley and Lula Lynch - paid tribute to their filmmaker father and invited people everywhere to join in a “worldwide group meditation” to honor him on what would have been his 79th birthday.
