We’ve all been there, the traffic light turns from green to yellow and you’ve got a split second to decide whether to hit the brakes hard or step on it and blast through before it’s red.

The intersection of Silverado Trail and Deer Park Road near St. Helena switched to a regular traffic light on Monday.

the Ottawa Police Department reported on its Facebook page that the traffic light signals at three intersections were not functioning properly, resulting in flashing red and yellow lights.
