The debate of who’s the better tight end is one Rob Gronkowski hears, but pointed out that while he and Travis Kelce were the same position, they played it differently.

The 35-year-old Kelce has cemented himself as one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history over the last decade-plus—and is rivaling the likes of Gronkowski, Tony Gonzalez, and Antonio Gates among others in the GOAT discussion at the position.

Beyond the fact that Gronkowski has 15 more career touchdowns than Kelce (in 32 fewer games played), Gronkowski held court as arguably the best blocking tight end in the league during his prime — a key role that Kelce has not usually been assigned in Kansas City’s offense.

As the Chiefs prepare to play the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans for Super Bowl glory, Gronkowski says Kansas City will "always step up to the level that they need to and play at that level no matter what situation it is and no matter how big the stage is."
