The Atlanta Falcons closed out their 2024 campaign with a 44-38 overtime loss to the Carolina Panthers at home. After getting off to a 6-3 start, the team will finish Raheem Morris’ first full season as head coach with an 8-9 record.

With a 39-yard completion to receiver Drake London inside of the final minute of the third quarter, Falcons rookie quarterback Michael Penix Jr. surpassed his previous career high of 223 passing yards. He finished 21-for-38 passing for 312 yards, two touchdowns and one interception while adding his first career rushing score.

One of those players was Sanders, who reeled in a beauty of a 33-yard touchdown from Young in the second quarter. Oh, and he also scored another pretty important touchdown—the walk-off 1-yard punch-in to clinch the overtime win. Sanders notched 66 yards on 17 carries and 50 yards on three grabs.
