Gibson was fatally shot in the chest around 11:19 p.m. while inside her home on the corner of the 300 block of Hummel Street, next to Swatara Street. Police said someone shooting from the street killed Gibson. She was not believed to be the intended target.

A Harrisburg man was shot during an attempted robbery on the same street where a woman was killed just days earlier, marking the city’s fourth shooting in five days, police said. The Harrisburg Police Department responded to the 300 block of Hummel Street at about 7:30 p.

According to the Harrisburg Bureau of Police, an adult male victim suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his lower extremities was discovered at the scene. He was then transported to a local hospital for emergency care. The shooting happened in the same area where a woman was shot and killed inside her house on Saturday.
