The Powerball jackpot rose to $172 million for Saturday’s drawing after no one won the top prize on Wednesday. If someone matches all six numbers, they can choose a one-time cash payment of $79.4 million.

A Powerball player was one number shy of the $154 million grand prize but still scored a big win in Mississippi. Someone won $2 million after matching five numbers but not the Powerball in the drawing Wednesday, Feb. 12, according to the Powerball website.

The Powerball jackpot for Saturday’s lottery drawing has increased to an estimated $172 million with a cash option of $79.4 million. The winning numbers were: 3, 16, 45, 54 and 56. The Powerball drawn was 12 with a Power Play of 2x.
