A winter weather advisory was issued for Livingston, Macomb, Oakland, St. Clair, Washtenaw and Wayne counties Tuesday morning.

A winter weather advisory has been issued for a large part of Metro Detroit and Ann Arbor until 2 p.m. Tuesday with widespread snow showers, the National Weather Service said. The advisory covers St. Clair, Livingston, Oakland, Wayne, Macomb and Washtenaw counties.

"Additional snow accumulation of less than an inch will be possible south of Detroit through 4pm. Untreated roadways will likely remain slippery as daytime temperatures are in the teens," according to the National Weather Service.
