I have a 2012 4cyl TSX that hasn't seen a drop of 91 octane since the dealer's fill. It currently has only 3400 miles on the clock. I just returned fron a 1400 mile trip where, on one leg, I averaged 34.57 mpg while driving on cruise set at 74 mph.

The TSX's full model change is slated for model year 2008, not 2007. Still, that's less than two calendar years away. And if you're having trouble finding a car "no longer than the TSX that is fun, peppy & a bit luxurious," then try the TSX itself.

Not bad considering the TL will absolutely smoke the TSX. Not even a comparison. Even a Sonata LX and a V6 Camry will paste the TSX. But then again, the TSX offers so much... And if you have to consider the added cost of premium fuel into your car buying decision, you can't afford these cars. The TSX needs a turbo.

TSX is probably built better with better materials as well (comes with longer warranty), Civic has a lot of plastic on the inside. TSX will be a lot quieter due to better material and sound proofing and a better sound system. Also, the TSX is just a rebrand of the European Honda Accord. TSX and Civics are completely different classes of car.

My 2006 TSX does something similar. After I started the car, emissions system warning light came on, after a minute, the various warning signals kept cycling every 15 second, ABS, VSA, and Brake.
