Oct 3, 2022 · I am seriously thinking of getting a 3.0 diesel, since my daughter might be taking over my 2018 JL Sport S 3.6. Before I pull the pin, I want to know all issues, from minor, to major, that the 3.0 Eco-Diesel has, and what if any solutions for these issues are out there. BTW, I've owned a couple of diesel pickups since 2000.

Apr 19, 2020 · It activates the discriminator and opens the fuel flap. I also picked up the correct emergency funnel from dealership today. The funnel would be good for a little fuel poured from a can. Th ebay kit is pretty nice. it has an adapter for the high-flow nozzle and rides in a resealable container. It will probably live in the Jeep.

May 31, 2023 · My F 450 has 475 HP, not much by todays standards, however it has 1050 lbs of torque and my max tow 45,300 lbs. So my engine has to be built to some rather high standards. Diesel in a Jeep, not so much, IIRC I think the Jeep diesel is 470 lbs of torque, an not sure what the tow rating is but NOT much. Structurally your diesel is a weak sister.

Mar 26, 2020 · They are basically the same Eco Diesel that has been in the Ram 1500 as well as other vehicles. It's a Fiat Diesel and has been used extensively by Fiat. Do a Google search, you'll find a plethora of info on that engine. And before people jump downy throat that it's a slightly different engine, changed or times differently for Jeep.

I took it to the dealer, they performed a forced regen, and my issues cleared up completely - frankly, I was surprised.
