Niels Arestrup (French pronunciation: [nils aʁestʁyp]; 8 February 1949 – 1 December 2024) was a French-Danish actor, film director and screenwriter.

Niels Arestrup was born on 8 February 1949 in Montreuil, Seine [now Seine-Saint-Denis], France. He was an actor and writer, known for A Prophet (2009), War Horse (2011) and Diplomacy (2014). He was married to Isabelle Le Nouvel. He died on 1 December 2024 in Ville d'Avray, Hauts-de-Seine, France.

Niels Arestrup (fr; 8 February 1949 – 1 December 2024) was a French actor, movie director and screenwriter. He was born in Montreuil, France. His career began in the 1960s and he retired in 2023. Arestrup won three César Awards for Best Supporting Actor for The Beat That My Heart Skipped and A Prophet, then Quai d'Orsay.
