Thames Water have ordered 900 Ford commercial vehicles in the Thames Water livery. The order is to take place over three years with the first 223 vehicles having already been delivered and now patrolling London and South East England.

The four fully electric models, with zero exhaust emissions, are being used by MUS teams delivering smart metering works on behalf of Thames Water. The vans can cover up to 180 miles on a single charge, depending on driving behaviour and use of auxiliary equipment and offer a rapid charge capability of 60 minutes.

Our van packs, along with CityFlex jet vac tankers and CCTV survey vans, represented a £14m investment by Lanes in vehicles serving Thames Water. The fleet increased in size by 20% while the average age of vehicles halved to three years, improving sustainability and reliability.
