Sep 24, 2022 · No. He needs your email so he can send you a fake payment receipt that says “you been paid $300 but sender is business so you must kindly become business to accept to do this sender must send extra $400 and then you must send the $400 back to verify the business and realese all $700 in funds waiting for you verify!!”

Feb 24, 2024 · Assuming you have an LLC or similar? I would highly recommend you open a business bank account and have Venmo deposit there. Mixing business and personal finances in this way can put you, personally, at risk. Deposit to business account, withdraw to personal account under an "Owner Draw". Leave some money in the business account to pay expenses.

Like any credit card accepting platform, they do take a fee from the total cost that is sent to you. I would suggest increasing your cost (by 3-5%) if you find that Venmo is a popular tool to accept payment for your product.

Jan 4, 2022 · Business account isn’t required anymore. That changed maybe 6 months ago or so. It’s still technically against the rules to sell things, without purchase protection anyway. You can try reaching out to the Venmo facebook account for more info, they respond quickly.

So that works, but what a pain! I am the treasurer for a small non-profit and we use both PayPal and Venmo. PayPal is far more robust and last year Venmo allowed 3 years of statements (but still on one month at a time). I get rid of Venmo but too many of our clients prefer it.

May 4, 2023 · Venmo. I've had so many issues with Zelle, usually when attempting to pay another business. As in, can't pay more than x amount to an account in a day, or some accounts Zelle just won't allow you to pay to, with no resolution. I don't love Venmo but if those are my only two choices, I sure as hell would not use Zelle.
